Criminal charges brought against IMF chief Strauss-Kahn

(Reuters) - New York prosecutors on Sunday charged IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn with a criminal sexual act, attempted rape and unlawful imprisonment in the alleged sexual assault of a hotel maid in New York City, police said.
Strauss-Kahn is expected to be brought before a state court judge later on Sunday. His attorney, Benjamin Brafman, said in an email to Reuters Strauss-Kahn "will plead not guilty."
